L.G.R was founded by Luca Gnecchi Ruscone in 2008, but its story began years earlier, with an unexpected discovery. During a trip to Eritrea, Luca visited an old warehouse belonging to his grandfather, who was a merchant in the region during the Italian colonial period. There, he found a collection of unused vintage sunglasses, made in Italy decades earlier.

Inspired by the classic design and artisanal quality of these pieces, he decided to recreate this timeless aesthetic, giving rise to L.G.R. The brand maintains a strong connection with this heritage, combining vintage military and explorer style with Italian elegance, enhanced by 100% artisanal production.
