Tips and care for your glasses
Please read the instructions and treat your glasses with care. Parents should read carefully for their children's use.
Tips to extend the life of your glasses
1. USE BOTH HANDS. Use both hands when taking and placing glasses on your face.
2. PLACE YOUR GLASSES WITH THE LENSES FACING UP. When putting your glasses down, place them so that the curved part of the lens is facing upwards. Placing them face down can cause scratches.
3. AVOID HEAT. Do not expose the glasses to heat or use them in extremely hot areas. Frames may deform and/or lenses may crack. Do not leave your glasses on the car dashboard or in other places that receive direct sunlight.
4. DRY IMMEDIATELY WHEN THEY ARE WET. If your glasses get wet from rain or sweat, dry them immediately. Rust or water can cause stains that cannot be removed.
Handling tips
There is a two-week adjustment period for newly purchased glasses, especially with a new prescription. Do not switch between old and new glasses with different prescriptions — this will prolong the adjustment time. If you are using progressive lenses for the first time, it may take some time to adapt. Be careful when going up and down stairs or in places with height differences. If you still haven't seen any improvements after two weeks, please stop by your optician so we can help.
Stretchy frames, such as memory titanium, are durable and do not break easily, but please do not bend or twist them intentionally - this may cause distortion of the frame. With natural wear and tear, the frame may show some cracks, breaks or discoloration. Nylon thread can break in extreme temperatures or on impact.
Please DO NOT wear glasses under the following conditions:
- when you are bathing or swimming .
- in places with extreme temperatures , such as direct sunlight, hot saunas or inside an industrial refrigerator. Lenses may change shape, cause distortion and/or deformation.
- If you experience itching, rashes or allergies when wearing your glasses, consult your doctor or dermatologist immediately.
- to look directly at the sun , even if you are wearing colored lenses, as this can cause vision loss or serious eye damage. Avoid using colored lenses in dark places - visibility is reduced due to lack of light.
- when practicing high-impact sports . Lenses can break when hit by a strong impact and consequently cause damage to the eyes or face and can lead to loss of vision. We recommend that you buy glasses suitable for sports.
Cleaning Tips
If your glasses get dirty, clean them with cold water (and/or our cleaning spray), then use a microfiber cloth to dry them. Please do not use dish soap, bleach detergent or paint thinner to clean your glasses. When cleaning the lenses, hold the bridge of the frame and wipe gently to avoid distorting the frame or breaking the lenses. If you run out of cleaning spray, stop by our store for a free refill.
